aha HOTELS & LODGES STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH STRATEGIC APPOINTMENTS
JOHANNESBURG, 12 March 2019 – aha Hotels & Lodges has made several changes to their Executive Team through the appointment of highly-experienced leaders in key roles. These strategic changes will cement the focused growth of both the management and acquisition of leisure properties and lodges across Southern Africa, in addition to properties in key city centres.
aha confirms the departure of its current CEO, Neil Bald, effective immediately. Bald has over 34 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and has played an integral role in aha Hotels & Lodges phenomenal growth. An invaluable asset to the organisation at large, Bald has a formidable reputation within the South African hospitality and tourism industry.
Graeme Edmond, who has been with aha since its inception, will be assuming the role of aha CEO, effective immediately. Edmond began his career with aha as a Sales Executive and during his career moved up through the ranks to Sales and Marketing Executive before assuming the role of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for Tourvest Accommodation and Activities.
With 8-years’ experience with aha, James Robb has been appointed as the new Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. One of the original staff members of aha, to date he has been responsible for the International Sales function and his new role will be all-encompassing and will include all sales and marketing activities for the business.
