Lemala Untold Story & WTM Africa Award
The hospitality industry around the world is renowned for putting its hand on its heart and saying that “people are at the core of this business.”
At Lemala and Adrift we believe with all our being that this is true and that all of our marvelous staff have Lemala, Adrift and their fellow team members in the forefront of their professional and, in many cases, private lives.
We were immensely proud to see their hard work and dedication rewarded recently by WTM Africa.
Lemala Camps and Lodges have just won a gold medal for being the Best at Removing Plastic and Waste from the Environment.
Like all things Lemala this could not have been achieved without the incredible dedication and hard work of each and every one of our so so special staff.
Not a guest leaves Lemala without commenting on the genuine warmth of the smiles and the #spiritoflemala at each and every property. Behind these smiles lies a steely determination to be the best and to leave the planet a better place. As CEO, Leanne Haigh says – “The award means so much to so many people back home in Tanzania and Uganda. Their commitment to the elimination of plastic waste is awe inspiring, to see that being rewarded and recognized in an important international forum is a significant and empowering message – thank you.”
Lemala, as we like to say – always #aheadofthecurve.
