ONE DOLLAR TURNS 22

The much anticipated One Dollar Golf Tournament, hosted by Tourvest Destination Management (TDM), returns to Sun City from 12 – 13 December for its 22nd year.

What started off with a group of 8 friends enjoying a round of golf at the Gary Player Country Club in 1993 has become the country’s premier most sought after amateur events.

Over the last 21 years, the One Dollar through its participants has been able to donate in excess of R1.5m to Headway, the tournament’s nominated charity. The charity offers various support programmes to survivors of brain injuries as well as to their families.

Taking place the weekend after the world famous Nedbank Golf Challenge, individuals are given the opportunity to tee off from the professional tee-boxes and experience the course in the same manner that the experts do. Corporates can now buy four balls and the time sheet is open to everyone.
